Halloween Spider Donuts

Donuts and Halloween go together like two peas in a pod. They bring back so many memories of donuts on a string at fall festivals and homemade apple cider donuts at the apple picking farm (here’s a baked variety I’ve made too). Last year we made some cute donut hole ghosts and this year I thought it would be fun to make donut spiders! These are crazy easy to put together and would be a cute treat for a Halloween party or to surprise your kids after school (eek!).

Here’s how we made them…

Supplies:

Mini chocolate donuts
Pocky sticks
Candy eyeballs
Candy or shish kabob sticks
Dab of cream cheese or royal icing

1. Break your Pocky sticks into thirds and stick four on each side to give your spider 8 legs total.

FYI We originally tried chocolate donut holes and they were too small and crumbly to fit 8 legs in.

2. With a tab of cream cheese or royal icing, stick the eyeballs on your spider

You can leave them as is or add a stick through the middle so they’re easier to hold on to. We found it surprisingly easy to poke our sticks into the mini pumpkins to make a pretty display for your Halloween entertaining table.
