Homemade Donuts

Buying this $8 mini donut pan was one of the best decisions I’ve made in a while. We made these petite pumpkin donuts this past weekend which were a big hit.

If you forget about how you drowned them in butter and then generously coated them in cinnamon and sugar, it seems way healthier than traditional fried donuts. Essentially it’s just muffin or cupcake batter poured into the mini pan and baked. After making the batter I transferred it to a ziplock bag and snipped off the corner so I could squeeze it out in a nice round ring.

The best part was because they’re so itty bitty they cooked in less than 7 minutes. So officially it’s  the quickest treat ever (a dangerous realization). I’m excited to experiment with it. Next up: chocolate glazed donuts
