
Have you heard of golden milk? All my health-conscious friends are obsessed with it right now. It’s delicious (like a spiced chai latte!) and because it’s made with turmeric, it’s packed with a crazy amount of health benefits for your liver, heart, brain, immune system, etc. Stephanie’s been incorporating it into her night-time ritual and raving about it. So much so that we decided to try making it ourselves. Turns out it’s super simple, here’s how…

Our golden milk is made with milk, turmeric, coconut oil, black pepper, ginger, cinnamon, and honey. Pure liquid gold! Something crazy we learned too: by adding a few black peppercorns to your milk you can greatly enhance the benefits of turmeric.

Golden Milk
1 cup milk (cow or nut milk)
1 cup water
1 inch sliced turmeric or a t of turmeric powder
1/2 inch sliced ginger
3-4 peppercorns
1 T coconut oil
1 cinnamon stick
Honey to preferred sweetness
Throw all in a saucepan and simmer

You can also make this turmeric paste to keep in the fridge and add to any beverage you want.
