The Wayback - Say Yes

A lot of research goes in finding a location for our Huddle Retreats (our location spreadsheets are extensive!). The spot needs to be feminine, intimate, feel like a bit of an escape from the pace of every day life. Also though, it can’t be too difficult to get to for our female founders. When I first stumbled upon The Wayback, I knew it would check all those boxes.

Tucked into the Austin Hills (and only 25 minutes from the airport),. The Wayback is a series of charming cottages and a cafe. You can rent a cottage or just head to drinks and dinner at the cafe (pictured here and in main image) which is open to the public breakfast through dinner.

I stayed at The Wayback last year to do some location scouting and loved the vibe of the space both during the day and in the evening.

A peek into the inside of the cottages here! Every details is so thoughtful and refined but without being stuffy or overdone. The design is just so classic and warm.

All of the cottages are different, and when we were dropping off our attendee gifts I got to see all of them. I think 7 and 8 might be my favorite. But it’s so hard to choose! Little cozy spots and views of the Austin hills out the window.

Every retreat needs a pool to kick back with a cocktail, right? Highly recommend taking a dip in the pool if you stay here with their signature margarita.
