Homemade Fruity Flavored Milk

flavoredmilk1

It seems like all of a sudden there is so much amazing fruit in season. I was watching Henry drink some chocolate milk the other day and thought it would be fun to experiment with different fruity flavors of milk. They all turned out really really yummy (promise!), and beautiful colors too for entertaining.

For each of them, I combined 1 cup of milk with 1/3 cup of fruit (mango, strawberries, raspberries, honeydew melon) and 1/2 T of sugar in a mini blender- I love this one.

The apple cider was simply milk mixed with one of those little apple cider packets. I want to try it warm as well. So easy and really really yummy! My favorites were the honeydew melon and mango, but I really liked them all. Also, found the vintage looking mini milk jars from this etsy shop

The honey dew sounds really good! The milk bottles, btw, are just the SBs Frappuccino bottles. You can buy them at the grocery store or Target, drink them up (or even dump them out), peel the labels off, soak them in hot water and remove the rest of the adhesive. Easy peasy and more affordable than the etsy shop!

These looks amazing! I agree an orange one sounds good but apple cider is certainly intriguing!

The apple cider one reminds me of the cider shakes we make every fall. We simply blend up vanilla ice cream with some really good quality unfiltered apple cider. It is delicious and now I really want one.

That sounds so good! I’ll have to try that sometime. My assistant, Hanalei, said that apple milk is a popular drink in Asia so we gave it a try!

Yes! they’re great for small 1-3 servings of blended drinks/smoothies, I love the nutribullet (and not paid to say that!)

YUM!!! We just tried it with unsweetened almond milk, mango and sugar. My 14 year old said it tasted like cookie dough. My 11yr. old is writing it in the recipe book she is making of her favorite recipes. It is very refreshing and would be great on a hot day. Thanks for sharing.

wow- great for a kids party, love the colors. i’m curious about the apple cider one though…

This looks super refreshing, that beautiful pictures as well! I’d love to try an orange version
