One of the things I love most about living in the bay area is the easy access to magical towns just a short drive away. A couple weeks ago, my friend and fellow Say Yes team member Gaby and I headed up there for a day trip in partnership with Uber, here’s how it went…
First, we headed up to an event at Dutcher Crossing Winery in Sonoma Valley. I love going to these PR events and learning about all the passion that goes behind these family owned wineries. They have the most stunning views of vineyards as well. Gaby and I sipped and snacked and felt so pampered by the team there (thanks for inviting us up, Dutcher Crossing!).
On the way back down we stopped at the brand new Elsie Green shop Sebastopol. Elsie Green is my favorite place to shop for vintage pieces here in the bay area, and this new space at The Barlow is absolutely stunning. Several times a year they go to French flea markets and antique fairs and pick out the most stunning pieces for shipments back to the states. Definitely check it out next time you’re up in Napa Valley!
Before headed home we took an Uber to my favorite restaurant up in Napa Valley, Ad Hoc. Thomas Keller, chef of world renowned famous French Laundry opened this more casual restaurant with a pre-fixed menu that changes every day and is served family style.
Afterwards, we wandered a bit around Yountville town and then took an Uber back to our car to drive back home. Our driver helped us unload our bags and goodies from the day, so during the drive with Uber’s new On Trip Ratings & Feedback feature, we were able to rate her 5 stars during our drive (instead of forgetting to rate our driver later, which is normally what happens). I love seeing these new features Uber is implementing to improve the quality of every ride.
Such a perfect day up in Napa, where do you go for a quick escape?

Dutcher is great! But in Sonoma not Napa. 😉 I generally prefer Sonoma over Napa anyway.
I’m the worst at calling everything up there ‘napa valley’, but you’re totally right!!
Napa Valley is so beautiful! I love how laid-back it looks! 🙂
