In the last of our mini series featuring Stylish Say Yes moms, we have our intern, Sarah! I’ve known Sarah for a while and have always been impressed with how put together she looks. Our kids go to the same school and for morning drop off while I’m often in pjs bottoms hiding my dirty hair under a baseball hat, Sarah always looks cool and put together. She has a sense of style that I really admire. It’s comfortable, confident, and casual but doesn’t scream soccer mom. It’s just-cool. I’ve been excited to pick her brain and find out her secrets….Sarah-16

Tell us about your look!

This is a pretty typical outfit for me. I like feeling confident and pulled together when I’m out but getting ready when you have kids is kind of a joke. I’ve learned to keep the process pretty minimal. Having a handful of things that I love means I don’t have to put too much thought into it.  If I’ve got good jeans and a favorite pair of boots on, I’m a happy lady.

What would you consider your go-to ‘momiform’ to be?

As boring as it sounds, t-shirt and jeans are my go to. I’m a huge fan of the uniform, it’s a super time saver. I mix it up with different layers since sf weather can be all over the place. I splash out on jeans now that I’m a grown up. I figure it’s worth it if I’m going to live in them.

What is something you do for yourself everyday?

I usually stop at a cafe after I drop the kiddos off at school. I love to sit with my coffee and people watch.

What kind of fashion advice do you have for postpartum, in-between sizes new moms?

Congratulations new mamas!!  I think dresses are really great for pregnancy and postpartum. I’ve seen some beautiful tunics and shirt dresses out there. As long as they button down in the front you’re all set for breastfeeding. I also loved a lightweight scarf for privacy when I was feeding the baby in public.

What beauty product can you not live without, and why is it your favorite?

Rosebud Salve. Me and lip balm go way back and this one feels fancy in an old fashioned tin, it’s lovely on its own or blended with lipstick for sheer color.

Do you have a beauty regimen you swear by?

I try to be good to my skin and get a facial every few months. My Esthetician turned me on to the Osmosis Skincare line a couple of years ago and I’ve been hooked ever since.
