Boyfriend Style: Four Looks

boyfriend style looks

In honor of Fathers Day this Sunday I thought it would fun to talk all about boyfriend style, which is totally hot right now. Sometimes boyfriend style can look sloppy or too edgy but adding a feminine piece in (a blazer is our default) seems to be the trick according to our stylist, Karli. Since, what’s more complimentary to boyfriend style than a touch of girlfriend?

Keep reading to see all four looks…

Look 1: Rocker ChicIMG_7871

Rocking the black on black with a vintage cut-off tee is bringing back serious flashbacks to the 80s, in a good way! Big teased hair pulled back looks especially stylish with big statement earrings like these rockin feminine hoops. Add a bright striped jacket for an added layer of coolness to your rocker chic look. Or take it off to rock out like Katrina:

Look 2: Classic Boyfriend Jeans

The foundation of boyfriend style is a good pair of boyfriend jeans. A bit destroyed and a little baggy (just like the kind you would steal from your old HS boyfriend). Make it chic with a lace blouse, over sized blazer, chains, summer sandals and classic leather bag. IMG_7720

Look 3: Schoolboy Cut-offs

Destroyed cut-offs are the boyfriend jean’s cool summer cousin. I did a post a bit back about how to destroy your own jeans, but the real thing is better for sure. Try pairing your destroyed cut-offs with a sheer blouse, schoolboy blazer and leather lace-up booties or combat boots.

PS A totally cool short hair cut couldn’t hurt either…

Look 4: Summer menswear

There always seems to be an over sized tee lying around the house. Instead of tossing it, pair it with some floral shorts (culotts!), an over sized blazer, and classic oxfords for a little dash of menswear meets summer fashion.

Those dance moves are cracking me up. What a fun little sister. Love the blazers in all the looks

OMG. I have the cutest sister. Two things:

(1) THE PELVIC DANCE
(2) Her elbow bends backwards in one of those pictures

I’m a big fan of boyfriend jeans – so comfy and cute even with just simple t-shirt. Also, that leather bag is beautiful

Wow, love all these looks. The first black look is super cool and those cut off jean shorts i’m envious of!
