Maxi Skirts

I don’t know if I’m completely sold on maxi dresses yet (give me a little time, I’m sure I’ll come around. Evidenced by this post), but, I am loving maxi skirts! This outfit from Free People screams effortlessly chic Spring to me. Which is the only kind of acceptable Spring in my book.
What do you think? Are you feeling maxi dresses and skirts this season?

PS Budget options for this skirt: here and here.
I just bought a great one from forever21 that was less than $20, but I don’t see it online anymore. You might want to hunt around your local store.

I wish I looked good in those!! They just don't go well with my body, but they are beautiful! =)Melanie's Randomness

this is quite the discussion here! I can see the association with 3rd grade teachers from the 80s but I still want to give it a try!

I have to say, not a fan of the maxi skirt or dress. No matter how light the fabric, they look heavy and cumbersome to me. Additionally, like with several fashion trends, not everyone can pull this off, but almost everyone will try and think they're succeeding. (I do it all the time.)

Maxi skirts remind me of my third grade teacher in 1992. I am not into them.

I love maxi dresses! They are so comfy and can be dressed up or down. I just bought a cute one at OldNavy actually.

if i could fill my closet with maxi skirts, i would. the best spring/summer essential.

I think maxi skirts look great, but my sweetheart absolutely hates them-he'd rather at least a bit of leg!

apparently I'm the ONLY person around who does NOT like Maxi dresses or skirts. Personally I have nice long legs and I prefer to show them instead of hide them! I'm not a fan, but who knows… I may come around too 🙂

I'm afraid, whether I like them or not is irrelevant, I must avoid maxi dresses and skirts! Combine my very, very long hair (past my hips), which by necessity is either evidently long or pinned up and our location in the Christian stronghold of the US with a maxi skirt of any kind and I could easily be mistaken for a devout Mennonite. No, thank you. Sadly, maxi skirts are not in my future.

I'm definitely feeling the maxi skirt/dress vibe. Something to wear to church in the summer and I don't have to shave my legs? Yes please.North Meets South

maxi dresses and skirts have been warm weather staples of mine for years! love love love them 🙂 but i'm not sure about button front maxi skirts… i know they're trending right now but they scream mid 90's to me and not it a good way

I am a big advocate of the maxi dress and skirt. And I fully agree that when it comes to spring fashion.. effortlessly chic is the only way to be! Your blog is fabulous!

I used to LOVE maxi dresses, but I've become picky about which ones I like now. I've seen some skirts that are pretty too. But it really has to be pulled off the right way.- Sarahhttp://agirlintransit.blogspot.com/

I am sooo into the maxi skirt! I wore one the other day and it made walking feel like a very dramatic act.
