We’re taking a mini break today with Edie and Dot at my new favorite spot in downtown Oakland, Blue Bottle Coffee. It seems to be on the way home from all of our afternoon so I’m always finding an excuse to stop in and grab a drink and snack.  Come follow along on our outing…

Blue Bottle Coffee is housed in the historic W.C. Morse building with huge glass windows with high ceilings and vintage tile. They serve delicious drip coffee (I’m personally obsessed with their mochas), and other yummy baked goods like poached eggs on toast, cookies, and savory waffles!

Edie opted for a chocolate milk and a cookie of course, she has a serious sweet tooth like Jared. Our new favorite line of hers is when we asked her what she wanted to drink for dinner (but phrased it “what do you want in your cup?”), she responded nonchalantly, “Oh, just candy”. Dot’s been getting great at solids lately, so I gave her little pieces of their delicious waffle and some parfait. She attacked it like a pro! She’s got on an easy summer dress too. Bloomers and a top are the simplest baby outfit for summer. Also, I’m kind of obsessed with Dot’s Tommy Tickle Mary Jane crib shoes. Love the classic vintage style of them.
