Sadly I’m not going to ALT this year but I thought it would be fun to put a look together of what I would wear if I was going along with a few tips.
For the first look, to be worn during the day, I went with with something I knew I could be comfortable in, classic black! I layered it with some neutrals and to give it a little pop I added some color with the bag and pattern with the flats. You could easily dress this look up for the night by adding some jewelry and heels.
For the clue party I chose blue for myself. I’m really into cobalt lately and I liked the idea of using the color in slightly different shades from head to toe. To add a little bit of interest I would pair this look with a bold necklace in gold and a pop of pink on the lips. I am in love with this lipstick by NARS by the way! Paired with a fresh neutral face it adds a little bit of femininity and interest to both a night out look as well as everyday.

And now a couple of tips for putting together your outfits for next weeks Alt Summit…
1. Remember to BE YOURSELF. Don’t buy or bring things that aren’t you. The easiest way for you to feel comfortable and confident is while being true to yourself. I didn’t put any heels in this post because honestly, they make me nervous!
2. Wear your outfits out before you come. Sounds crazy because you don’t want to “reveal your new look” but sometimes outfits need a test run to make sure things fit like you want them to and that you feel like yourself in them (see tip 1).
3. Bring options (if you can). Sometimes its good to have a substitute blouse in case you want to be a little bolder and wear your lavender top instead of the black one. I don’t recommend bringing full outfit options, just little pieces to change out if necessary.

Wishing I could attend ALT this year as well. I haven’t been to an ALT event yet, but it’s on my “Want To Do SOON” list (the free classes are great until I can attend in-person tho!). I’m loving cobalt too! I hadn’t thought to do a head-to-toe outfit in different shades of the color but it’s so cute! Thx!
Thank you for the tips! As a first time attendee, all the emails about what to wear has been a little intimidating, but pretty exciting. I do like the idea of getting dressed with purpose for four days in a row! I took Kelly’s class last week on how to keep organized at Alt which I found very helpful. I’m not packed yet, but I’m taking time this weekend to try everything on and plan. Oh and for Clue, I’m going with Ms. Scarlett!
