It’s hard to believe it but this baby is coming soon! I’m about a month away from my due date and it’s starting to really sink in. My to-do list is expanding every day and I’m starting to prioritize baby items now above the home decorating ones (although I’m really working hard to get those done too to feel settled!). Just this week I ordered the carseat, co-sleeper, and some comfy nursing bras. Another big thing on my list is sorting through, cleaning, taking an inventory of newborn clothes I saved from Edie, and making sure we’re stocked up on supplies for newborn care.
Because there was such a large age gap between Henry and Edie, we had gotten rid of most of Henry’s newborn stuff by the time Edie arrived. This time though, I still have most of Edie’s newborn clothes and I’m really glad for it! There are so many sweet outfits and memories that will be fun to pass onto the next little girl coming our way next month. I made a point of only keeping the pieces I really loved, but while going through items this time I noticed a lot many stains! So, I have a lot of cleaning to do. I’m glad products like Seventh Generation Free and Clear Laundry Detergent exist for this purpose. It’s the only detergent on the market that doesn’t include artificial chemical brighteners. Those artificial brighteners are adding unnecessary chemicals that then rub off on your family’s skin. So the Seventh Generation Free and Clear Detergent is especially perfect for babies.

When Edie was a baby we got this shelf for above the dresser/changing area and have loved it so much! It’s the perfect spot for diaper changing, and other baby daily essentials like diaper cream, lotions, swaddle blankets, bonnets, and nail clippers. It’s so handy to have it right above the changing station (which is just a changing pad mounted on top of the dresser). So we’re going to keep the same system for the new baby.

This post is sponsored by Seventh Generation, who makes baby products we’ve loved for years. Featuring their Free and Clear Laundry detergent, natural diapers and wipes.
