Supplies:
Gold leaf sheets
2 brushes (tweezers optional)
Gold leaf adhesive
Gold leaf sealer (or this $4 acrylic coating is supposed to be a great cheaper alternative )
Waxed paper
Set of pencils

Step 1: Coat the pencil with the gold leaf adhesive once. Allow to dry 20-25 minutes so it gets tacky and dry.

Step 2: We found the best technique was to roll the pencil in a sheet of gold leaf on a flat surface. This will wrap a large part of the pencil.
Step 3: Use a dry paint brush to adhere the golf leaf in place.

Step 4: Tear of the ends
Step 5: Use tweezers to to pick up smaller pieces and adhere to the other areas of the pencil with a soft brush. Smooth with the brush once more to brush off debris.
Step 6: Spray with golf leaf sealer or varnish (polyurethane spray)
