DIY Kid’s Jingle Bell Necklace

Contributed by Kersey of Ardor Blog

Jingle bells are a Christmas staple! When I was a kid I used to have a jingle bell necklace with a
single bell on a red cord and I loved it. I thought I would make some jingle bell necklaces for my
son’s little friends as gifts this year. And of course one for him!

It only takes a few minutes to make and there are only three things you will need to make your own.

Here is what you’ll need…

Supplies:
Yarn – I used three colors, but you could do one if you would like.
Jingle bells
Scissors

Start off with three pieces of yarn cut to the same length. Make it long enough so you don’t run out
mid-necklace.

Knot the three pieces together at one end and start braiding.

Once you are almost to the middle of the necklace, add a jingle bell. Keep braiding a few more
rounds and then add the second bell and repeat for the third jingle bell. You could of course add
more than three bells, but I thought it was a good number.

Keep braiding to the end and knot the end. Tie the two already knotted ends together and you’re
ready to jingle!

The kiddos will love it. I mean, just look at that face!

Happy Christmas!
