As many of you know, I’ve teamed up with Adobe Photoshop Elements as an ambassador over the last few months. It’s been a really fun experience to learn about the program from the very best and I hope you’ve liked learning about it as well!

Keep reading to see how I used the new vignette feature in Elements 11…

Open your image in Elements and click on the Guided tab at the top (don’t you love the new gray screen?). Then select vignette effect from the list on the right hand side.

Follow the instructions on the right, click on the ‘black’ button and your image will be pretty dark around the edges.  You can move the intensity over to the left a bit to lessen the effect.

Click on Redefine Shape and move the feather up all the way so the edges aren’t so harsh. When you’re happy with the result, click done!

You can see the difference above when you look at the before and after view. I like vignettes for portraits and darker rooms.
