I can’t believe we’ve been here on the Outer Banks of North Carolina for a week, and we still have almost another full week to go. Heaven I tell you! My parents have been renting a house here on the northern tip of OBX for as long as I can remember. The water has been (mostly) very warm, the beach is incredibly beautiful, and Henry has been a dream compared to his 18 month self when we went 2 years ago. He’s so much fun to play with and is getting much more daring in those waves!
My sisters and I bike around everywhere on these fun beach cruisers. My favorite spot is to wander around the Whalehead grounds and historic Corolla

Henry’s little cousin Gigi has the most kissable cheeks. She’s adorable and she and Henry have been getting along great (phew!)
Every night is a serious feast. My dad’s specialty is sushi rolls. Delicious!
I grew up going to the Outer Banks with my family every year (my first trip was when I was 6 weeks old). We haven't gone in a few years, but I miss it desperately. I hope you had a GREAT time!

my family of 15 is heading down to Nags Head for the first time (from NYC!). We're all very nervous about enjoying ourselves down there but you seem to be having fun! Any "must do's" please let me know- we're rather unsure about this trip!

So jealous! My whole family did a week in the Outer Banks last summer, and it was the best vacation ever. We stayed at a house in the Pine Island neighborhood (which we thought was absolutely perfect). I'm curious– where do you guys stay??

It's such a great spot and the only activities you need to plan is who makes dinner every night. We just all swim, bike and build sand castles all day!
What a beautiful place. It sounds like the perfect fix for a family rest. When I need to de-stress we hit the lake or ocean! So calm and peaceful.Have a wonderful time!
This is also our family vacation spot, so these pictures look so familiar! We were there over 4th of July, and I wish we had stayed two weeks. Next year, next year.Enjoy your last week!
