BlogNog: A Non-Traditional Budget Thanksgiving Table

Next up we have talented Christina from the always inspiring blog Full House sharing with us a really stunning Thanksgiving table on a budget. Welcome, Christina!

A walk down the wedding/party isle @ the Dollar Tree helped me to come up with a few things to add to my table.

I first found the mini white pails and spray painted them a blue-ish teal.  Then took trim, wrapped it around and glued.  Then I planted a mini succulent and added words that have to do with thanks.

The next craft came from the small round silver containers.  I spray painted them gold,  printed out pictures of everybody who would be at the dinner in wallet sizes, traced around the circle of the container and then cut and glued into the bottom.

My vision was to use these as the placeholders but then have each guest take them home and hang them on their Christmas trees.  The jewel looking candy that you can see in some of the pictures are from Whole Foods and they are not only beautiful but delicious and thought they were a fun gesture.

The runner was cheap and easy.  Just a bunch of punched out circles from paper.

The resources are as follows:
napkins – Crate and Barrel (clearance $2.95 and were the inspiration for the color scheme)
plates – thrifted
glass ball – thrifted
glassware – already had from TJ Maxx
place mats – thrifted
tablecloth – Home Goods, $10
wooden stump – from my backyard
succulents – $1.50
