Stockings are one of my favorite Christmas traditions. On Christmas Eve, when we were little, we all got to pick our spot in the family room to place our stocking so Santa could fill it up during the night. We would always fight over the best spot (the big chair) and of course no one wanted the piano bench. There were the things we always knew we would find in our stockings…. an orange, candy, candy canes etc… but then there were the little goodies that varied from year to year…gift cards, socks, jewelry.
