Have you seen the spinning tops where you can insert a ballpoint pen? They're so cool. I love the idea of literally seeing the spin on paper.
I've been eyeing similar ones from an etsy seller…which I cannot find just now…but several others are to be found, all hand-turned, and at great (artisan-supporting) prices.For instance, search "wood toy top"…I love etsy.
