One thing I’ve already learned about California is that old men will do anything to look at young as their 15 year old surfer/skater son*; they’ll even wear the same size pants to church. Hipsters toting messenger bags with their unexpected and deeply stylist girlfriends are no where to be found here. I’m also thinking if I ever lived in California I would be forced to die my hair raven black.

*I thought that skaters and surfers were the same thing, but apparently they are very different and should not be confused (according to Cali native, brooke).
