My talented aunt, Deborah Barlow, has a really cool exhibit in Brooklyn going right now. I’m bummed because I just realized the exhibit ends this weekend, and I was hoping to see it when I fly out next week for BlogHer. If you’re in the New York area this weekend, definitely go check it out at The Brooklyn Workshop Gallery (and take detailed notes for me pretty please). She does incredible abstract paintings. They are colorful and textural. Really beautiful. I’m loving that yellow/gold one pictured above. I would have loved to see it in person!
Update: Good News! Deborah told me that the show will actually be up through the end of August, whose coming with me next week?
The exhibit is really close to my parents' house– I'll try to send them over. Wish a NY visit were in my near future.
