I did my best

One thing I thought I wouldn’t miss and now I’m thinking I kind of will miss about Hoboken are the drunken idiots from the bars around the corner (you may remember jared’s pleasant altercation on St. Patrick’s day). Thursday to Saturday nights get pretty rowdy around here and our apartment steps seem to have become the ‘spot’ to leave the bar to talk really loudly, fight, scream or cry. We always end up yelling at them from our bedroom window a 3pm like the party poopers we are. Loud talking, fighting, breakups and screaming happen a lot but it’s not often we have a really great crier outside. Lucky for us, we did have a great one last weekend. This one girl was so drunk and crying so loud with her friend outside our apartment that it woke us up, fixated on the same phrase “It’s not fair! It’s not fair!” over and over and over again like a broken record. As annoying (and pretty pathetic) that it was, it made Jared and I laugh thinking about Dane Cook’s hilarious bit about crying here:

In retrospect, I wish I would have yelled out of the window “You did your best!!!” instead of “HEY!! We called the cops!”

We lived across the street from a bar in Germany for about 3 years. Because of the acoustics of the buildings around us, the noise just outside the bar sounded like it was happening in our bedroom. How I miss the fights and loud drunk talking and especially the peeing on wall. Lovely.

In retrospect, I wish I would have yelled out of the window “You did your best!!!” instead of “HEY!! We called the cops!”That part made me laugh out loud.

Wow, I only got about 2 minutes in. Is there an edited version? I can’t wait until Jared is at work and drops his first F-Bomb because he is so desensitized to it. J, you know it is going to happen. Will you let me know when it does?

This is like my favorite part of any comedy piece ever. I think it about it all the time and laugh. so funny.
