Here we are in 2021! There are a LOT of things I’m excited to move on from in 2020 (where do I even start…), but there’s one thing from 2020 I’m taking with me to 2021…
This post is in partnership with Grove Collaborative
…A daily routine of prioritized self care. In 2020 I started taking my own mental health and self care seriously because I was desperate for it!
After giving everything to my kids and family in quarantine and distance learning, I realized I was desperately in need of space and time for me (and that I was a way better parent and partner when I could carve out time for it).
Long walks in the evening were a regular after-dinner occurrence. Meditation and yoga became my decompression from the day. Candlelit baths were such a simple but needed luxury in the evenings.
How did/are you finding time for yourself?
First of all, each bar lasts at least 100 washes. 100!
Secondly, the shampoo bar replaces two bottles of shampoo, and the conditioner bars replaces 3 bottles of conditioner. Think of how much less plastic you’re throwing out there!
Last but not least, they work incredibly well and smell amaaazzzing (like a peach orchard!). My damaged hair is super soft afterwards-it really does compete with my very favorite hair products and all in a cute little bar form that’s 100% plastic free!
I’ve been a huge fan of Grove Collaborative for a long time, and I can honestly say I’ve never been disappointed. They curate the best in plant-based, sustainable products for the home and personal care. The prices rival those at your nearest store, and they even price match for VIP members. Other great services include things like scheduled deliveries (stay safe and shop from home!), texting services to add last minute items to an order, and rigorous standards for businesses supporting the environment and communities.
Lastly, everything is just gorgeous- the very best in quality and design.

Hi! This is my first time visiting your blog. I am glad that I found it since I find your writing interesting and I hope you can create more of this in the future. Thank you for sharing!
Most people in my area are not aware that shampoos that grow your hair fast (of course with no sulfates, no parabens or DEA) are even a thing. We all can now have longer hair and achieve more possibilities. Certainly worth researching.
If you’re examining hair loss, damaged hair, avoiding hair disorders, hair growth, hair health generally, very similar thoughts become relevant.
As a general rule, you will want to steer clear of hair treatments and products that include chemicals like parabens, DEA or sulfates.
What’s good for your hair is beneficial for your skin all the same.
Obviously your content on this page hits the nail in the head for multiple reasons. It avoids the accustomed errors and pitfalls too many fall into: utilizing horrible alternatives. Greatly appreciated!

Lovely! I think you meant “meditation” and not “mediation” 🙂
Ha! Yup plenty of mediation in sibling quarrels as well 😕
