Where do you go when you need a minute to take some deep breaths or much needed ‘me time’ at home? OKAY fine, if I’m being honest what I mean is when the kids are driving me insane. And it happens on a veeerrry regular basis, if I’m being extra honest. Like every single day. When I’m about to lose it and need to get away from whatever situation is stressing me out at home I do one of two things:
My escape plan is either my bluetooth headphones (instant kid-cancelling), or it’s the bathroom. In full panic mode, it’s a combination of both. Kid-cancelling headphones, in the locked bathroom.
It sounds a little clique to say that the bathroom is where I go for some me time, but it’s really the only place where my requests for privacy are honored. And only if that door is locked!
So I rush in, secure the lock, and then try to ignore the banging on the door. Then what? I don’t always have a plan. Sometimes I take a hot shower, sometimes I organize drawers (both always make me feel better). Sometimes I try on lipsticks I haven’t worn in a while, or paint my nails a bright color. Little things to feel like myself.
One of my favorite things to do is shave my legs- because really, there aren’t lot of things more satisfying that a nice shave with soft foamy gel.
I was really happy to discover the new razor, joy! I haven’t bought a decent razor lately, and now I can totally see the difference in using joy. It’s super smooth, with a five-bladed cartridge (and extras for later) for a really smooth shave in cute pink and teal colors. With soft shaved legs, it feels like I can tackle whatever the chaos on the other side of the door.
The glee shave gel mousse is the perfect companion to joy. The shave mousse comes in a summer lily scent, and the gel mouse in a cucumber and aloe scent (this is the one I have). Ooh it’s such a nice treat. It’s those little wins, right? The joy razor and the glee shaving mousse are both only available at Walmart for just $8.97.
