Any new goals you’re working on? I’m sharing some thoughts on goal making today with Grove Collaborative. Last week my friend hosted a goals workshop at her home, and all 15 of us women who attended admitted the same thing…
That we hated goals. Avoided them at all cost. We talked about a few obstacles that were in play, but it turned out most of us were just really scared of failing and disappointing ourselves. We had enough on our plates without adding any new goals to it come January 1. Do you feel the same? Normally, I’m definitely fall in this category.
My friend who ran the workshop, Shira, had some really good suggestions. One was picking a small thing you can do differently every day in a category you feel is lacking (home/work/personal/relationship/health/finances). For me, one of my goals was getting my family more involved in cleaning. I wanted to start small, so right after dinner we’ve been doing a 5 minute clean up. Everyone runs around and puts their own stuff away for 5 minutes. It’s not that long, but it’s a good habit so far. I’m hoping to keep it up. Dot’s not great at cleaning up as a 2 yr old, but she does love carrying the Grove caddy and spraying surfaces all.day.long.

Have you ever been to a goals workshop? It was a lot like group counseling with yummy snacks and bubbly wine. We’re planning on meeting again to check in next month, I’m curious to see how this all progresses. I’m also working on some work goals and excited to share those with you as they develop more fully.
Thanks to Grove Collaborative for sponsoring this post. Don’t forget to use this link as a new or existing customer to get your free gift with a $20 purchase. Also, check out some ideas for spring cleaning with lemons we worked on with Grove last year.
Just signed up and excited! I’m a new Mari Kondo fan and feel like Grove C will go very well with the purging of all unnecessary items. Big fan of goals, big fan of what Grove C is trying to accomplish here! Thank you for making it easy with the free sign up and awesome cleaning products and supplies!
I’m always dreading New Year’s Resolutions – I suppose that’s why I gave up on them a few years ago. I just have, well, goals now, that I can start any time of the year.

I’m a big fan of Grove and love the concentrates so much! When I first switched from store bought cleaners (Clorox wipes if I’m being honest—), I used a vinegar mix and i just couldnt get over how everything smelled like salad and Easter eggs (as a kid, my mom always put Vinegar in with those Paz tablets). The grove mixes smell lovely! We use their refillable hand soap/dish soap too.
I love the idea of a five minute clean up as a family. My biggest game changer for cleaning was when I started cleaning the bathroom when my kiddos were in the tub—just a general freshen-up and wipe down. It was such an easy habit and made a huge difference.
(One last thing: If Grove is looking for ideas for new products, I would love, love, love a pretty substitute for paper towels. I want something washable that looks like an Athroplogie colorful/patterned napkin but is 2ply cotton, soft and absorbent. I don’t like bar rags or those scandi sponges).
Thanks for the recommendation! I agree, that’s a great product idea. Also YES on those concentrates! THe best!
