This is a cinch of a project to do with the kids for playing santa around the house during the holidays. We’ve updated a version we made 5 years ago to one made with felt…
Once you create a template, you can make these in just a couple minutes. Edie wore it around the house today and left little gifts for family members. I’m all about playing up the santa game! The layering gives it a nice texture and dimension.
Supplies: Craft felt (or wool felt if you’re feeling fancy), paper, pencil, scissors, hot glue, thin elastic, sewing needle and string.
Here's How To Do It
- 1. Trace three sets of santa beards to layer on top of each other onto paper.
- 1. Cut out of craft or wool felt.
- 1. Glue the pieces on top of each other to layer. Glue the mustache right on top of the beard pieces, leaving a space for the mouth.
- 1. Cut about 6 inches of elastic and glue, then stitch on the back of the mustache.
- 1. Ready to try on!
