My USA friends: the midterm elections are tomorrow, November 6th. Our voice is our power, so let’s be sure to let our voices be heard, no matter where your opinions fall. Here are some unbiased links to do your research on candidates before you head to the polls…
If Halloween took over your life (YUP) and you’re just getting to do candidate research, it’s not too late. Americans have fought hard and long for this right to have a say in our country’s vision and future. Here are a few links to look over tonight before you head to the polls.
First confirm here you’re all set (info here about same day registering if you need help). Check your polling location and times.
Ballot Ready. Put in your address and this site aggregates info from multiple sites at both the local and state level. You can also see who has endorsed them and where they stand on key issues. Super helpful. Take a few notes while you do it.
Also, every political candidate on every issue.
ISideWith. A fun way to do research if you’re not sure who to support. Answer a few questions about where you stand on key issues and get a personalized voting guide.
Important info about election protection and what to do if they turn you away at the polls (the voter laws have been discriminating against people of color so stay informed).
JUST VOTE! Even if you’re disillusioned. Democracy only works when we participate (oh, and Oprah reeeeally wants you to as well).
