I was going to title this post My Favorite Candle, but it turns out it’s close to everyone’s favorite candle (and will be yours as well if it’s not already!)…
Are scents important for your home? I never thought I was big on scents (ahem, good scents), until I met this candle. It’s called Maison Louis Marie No. 4 Balincourt. My friend Amanda gifted it to me last month and it’s incredible.
I’m going to be terrible at describing it (too bad this isn’t a print magazine where I can include a little flap for you to sample it!), but it’s subtle and woodsy. From the website description it includes scents of cedarwood, sandlewood, with small hints of earthy tones and a bit of cinnamon.
What I can tell you is that I started traveling with it from room to room depending on where I was spending time so the scent could follow me. My studio while I was working, the girls room while I’m getting them ready for bed, back into the kitchen while I’m doing dinner prep, the bathroom while I’m taking a shower, etc. In short, I want my whole life to smell like this scent (is that too much to ask??).
Have you experimented with any of the other scents? I’m curious!
I love the minimalist design of the candle! It looks great, simple is best. 🙂
