Bath toys at the Pool

One of my best friends, Kendra, has a pool in Marin, so sometimes we head there on a hot afternoon when all I want to do is dump buckets of ice over my head. They have pool floats and other toys, but we like to bring our own too so the kids don’t feel like they always need to share.

Honestly, sometimes I just dump my whole bin of pool toys into the pool basket and off we go. Munchkin makes all of our favorite bath toys from ocean bath quirts (fun for babies to chew on too), bath letters and numbers, school of fish floating in mini boats, and a little paddlin’ penguin.

We’ve been especially loving the inflatable White Hot Duck Tub (but be sure not to leave your baby in there with water unattended). Dot, Edie, and even Henry, love sitting in there relaxing in the sun or with a little bit of water. The kids love it on our front porch too with the sprinkler on in the afternoon.

Sometimes I’ll add some water and throw some of the bath toys in there as a mini sensory pool for Dot to and Edie to play with toys in. Edie’s been so into letters lately, we could spend hours going through them and spelling out words on the pavement.

And Dot loves the cute little faces on the bath squirts. She’s starting to learn body parts too, with eyes being her favorite.

Another one we love from Munchkin is the fishin’ bath toy! Sometimes Edie won’t actually get in the water (in typical 3 yr old fashion). So we use the pool as a giant fishing pond where the magnetic fish can be caught with the fishing pool.

But sometimes heading to a pool is just to much work. Lately we’ve been spending a lot of time on our front covered porch with a sprinkler, a basket of bath toys and mini tubs as well. I’m all about easy peasy during the summer.
