I love handmade holiday gifts, especially ones that take under 5 minutes. These marbled mugs are such a cinch to make and would make a nice holiday thank you gift for a teacher, co-worker, or boss. I love how they turned out. Keep reading to see how to make them…

There are so many people in need of thank yous this holiday season and so we love homemade gifts that say just that. We combined this super easy DIY marbled mug with a package of loose leaf Lyfe Tea to give to Henry and Edie’s teachers this year. Their 28 day morning and detox teas sound like the perfect fix for all the holiday indulging we’re surrounded by.
Supplies: ceramic mugs, scrap paper, black nail polish, a container large enough to dip the mugs in filled with warm water (you’ll want to use a disposable container since it will be difficult to clean afterwards)
Step 1: Pour nail polish into the warm water. If it’s not warm enough the polish with seize up so you want the water to be warm to hot.
Step 2: Using a toothpick, swirl the nail polish to create a desired marbled look.
Step 3: Take the mug and dip it about halfway in the water. Pull it out and place face down on the scrap paper to dry. Should be dry in a just a few minutes! We dipped two mugs before noticing the marbling was starting to lose it’s effect. If you’re making more than two, you maybe want to wash and re-start for your 3rd mug.
Make sure to mention it needs to be hand washed.
Step 4: Tie with ribbon and gift along with a package of Lyfe Tea for a handmade holiday thank you gift

Love it! They turned out amazing. Any tips for where to find ceramic mugs?
You should be able to find them anywhere. Ours were at Target!
I’ve seen this method used on mugs before and it looks so fun and easy! I’ll definitely have to try it soon!

This is awesome! I saw a DIY tutorial that was for marbled feathers that you could use as gift toppers. It was basically the same thing- nail polish and water. Just think of the marbling possibilities!!!
