We put together a festive holiday table with a candy cane striped tablecloth, star paper placemats, and mini red striped vases for under $10. Here’s how we did it…
Here’s how we did it…
Supplies: White tablecloth, assorted thrifted jars, thin red tape, scissors, kraft paper, pencil, and red duct tape.
For the mini vases we found a few thrifted jars and wrapped the bottom with the red duct tape. Then we added two smaller stripes above as well with a thinner tape (you could also cut down the larger duct tape into thinner strips as well). We filled the vases with greenery we clipped from outside.
For the coasters we used some flat tree trunk stumps I picked up from the Christmas tree lot. Also, see my tutorial for the mini cranberry wreaths from last week right here.

Who would have thought duck tape could look so festive and charming? Thanks for sharing! I think I’ll need to make a trip to the nearest Christmas tree stand to make the coasters and trimmings tree from Friday.
Smart, what a great idea so you can have festive items without having to run out and buy anything new!
