Edie and Henry go back to school this week! Edie’s been really excited to start Kindergarten, so this past week I set up a little study area and DIY desk for her in the guest room in partnership with Tuesday Morning…
I wanted the space to feel like a big kid desk, but still with plenty of sparkle, imagination, and color. Edie was so excited to pick out some new desk accessories and craft supplies for the space.
But first, we had a couple DIY projects…
While we were at Tuesday Morning I found some great pieces of desk storage for the space like this paper organizer here, and don’t you love those oversized wooden dice??
My favorite thing might be this writing utensil desk organizer. It fits all different types from markers, crayons and pencils and…it spins which makes it really easy to access for multiple kids at the same table. I also bought a golden stapler, and some new stationary. Edie loves to send letters in the mail to family/friends.
Also found this little wooden marquee message board from Tuesday Morning. I’ve been seeing them around for a while, but they’re usually pretty pricey! This was was such a steal (only $10) and so easy to swap out different sayings whenever you like. ‘Golden’ is Edie’s favorite color.
What a great idea for my granddaughters. Are starting school this year and a special place for doing homework and crafts would free up the kitchen table, where I did my homework.
Lovely little desk nook! Could you let us know where the desk legs are from?
This is so cute! We need to make a nook like this in our house for our son!
