It’s expensive and hard to find the time to go out, but I love the idea of spending a romantic evening at home with your partner. Especially on Valentine’s Day. I thought it might be fun to share some ideas on making an evening at home still feel special and romantic! So our Say Yes team brainstormed some ideas, partnering with Vaseline and their Lip Therapy Tins in Rosy Lips. New to the US, these cute little tins combine the hydrating lip therapy we know and love from Vaseline with a lovely light rose fragrance and tint. What shoes are those? Love!
What is the name of the paint color in the dinning room? (above the white woodwork) I love how subtle it is without being the usual grey. My husband says I’m not allowed to paint any more rooms in our house grey (le sigh) so I’m always on the look out for other options.
Hey Elizabeth,
Glad you like it! It’s Stony Path by Valspar, we also used it in the bedroom and living room. It’s really versatile.
Love the ideas for a date night in, the cookbook thing is fun idea too.
I really like this post. There are some great ideas.
Oh, I always loved these Vaseline tins when we lived in Zurich. So excited they’re finally in the States. 🙂
Same, my husband’s family is from Europe and I always pick up these Vaseline tins when I’m visiting. So happy to see they’re being sold here now!
I don’t know how creative or romantic it is, but during the warmer months we sometimes will have a drink in our backyard with some candles lit after the kids go to bed. It feels nice to be out of the house without having to have a babysitter or elaborate plans.
I agree, just a glass of wine on the porch and good conversation is a great date night !
I love the idea of going through old pictures and journals together! That is such a great idea!
