As much as I love pink and red, sometimes it’s nice to mix it up a little for Valentine’s Day. I tend to add a little (or a lot) of confetti to my gifts to make the unwrapping fun and messy! It adds such a great punch of color and when I had this idea for a treat box, there was no way I was passing it up. The only goal for Valentine’s Day is to make your sweets look good…and the easiest way? Make the treat box top notch.

STEPS
01. Keeping the box flat, spread a thin layer of Mod Podge on one side and sprinkle on confetti. If you’re more of a perfectionist, you can definitely add each piece of confetti one by one.
02. Once dry, take a paintbrush and dip into a small amount of Mod Podge. Spread over each piece of confetti carefully so you don’t tear the pieces. Make sure all pieces are flattened and painted over so they don’t fall off.
03. Flip over and repeat. I also had a few pieces that hung over the edge, so secure those down as well with Mod Podge or you can cut the excess off with an Xacto knife.

04. Print labels and attach with string or washi tape.

I filled my boxes with macarons and even more confetti because there clearly was not enough already. And if you are more about the pink and red, you can always use confetti like this for some extra Valentine’s Day glam.
