Instead of regular old eggs in your child’s lunch, what about creepy + colorful dinosaur eggs? This is a spooky surprise you can throw in your child’s lunch as Halloween approaches. Keep reading to see how to make them…

1. Hard boil eggs, let cool, and then crack them firmly.

2. Mix food coloring in hot water. If you use vinegar, as you would dying Easter eggs, the eggs will taste different since the dye is getting into the egg and not just staying on the shell.

3. Place cracked eggs into dyed water and let sit for about 3-4 hours in the fridge.

4. Peel the eggs. Or leave them with their shell and let your child peel it to find a creepy dinosaur egg beneath!
