One of our favorite things to do at the beginning of summer is make a summer bucket list. Usually it’s a huge list of summer activities that sits on the wall but I’ve been trying to think of some ways to make it more enticing to complete the list, and thought making it into a game of BINGO would be fun to try. I’m partnering with HP Instant Ink service for this post so you never have to worry about running out of ink again while saving up to 50% on ink. Keep reading to see more about putting this project together (and the sign + card printables to make this yourself)…
Step 1: Print out the Summer Bingo sign and 4 sheets of the Summer Bucket Cards (there are 6 on each page). We printed both onto card stock.
If you’re like me, every time I print more than 2 pages I start to get nervous about ink running about mostly because I have no idea how much is left. HP Instant Ink service takes that stress away by the printer letting HP know when you’re running low and the ink showing up at your doorstep so you never run out. So genius, right? Plus, right now you can get 3 months of free ink when you purchase an eligible printer between now and Sept 5th and sign up online for HP Instant Ink.
Step 2: Cut the summer bucket cards and spend some time with you child to write down 20 ideas, one on each card, of things they want to do this summer.
Step 3: Draw a grid on a piece of paper and cut out 5 colored paper squares the size of the boxes (one for each color). These will be ‘read a book’ spaces so they’ll have some academic incentive to complete the BINGO line.
Step 4: Sticking to the original colors you wrote the card with, start to fill in the blank spaces with the summer activities until they’re all filled in.
Step 5: Hang the piece of paper up and leave a ‘summer bucket’ next to it filled with the cards. When they complete an item, they can find it on the chart and stick up the matching card with some tape, with the goal to get BINGO for a family outing or a sticker or whatever incentive you’d like to make.

This is a great idea, we never make it through our summer list. Very smart
SUCH a cute idea, love how colorful it is!
