Jared and I both work from home, which is awesome and chaotic at the same time. It’s great because we can have quick chats over mid morning snacks, go on spontaneous lunch dates, and give Edie a squeeze as she leaves to go out to the park with her nanny. It can be a little chaotic though because neither of us works very quietly and we live in a one level flat. Jared spends most of the day on conference calls in the dining room and I spent most of the day with my team in the back sunroom studio. With all the traveling I’ve been doing lately Jared has had a lot of one on one time with Edie, way more than I’ve had with her, and they’ve really created a special bond. One of their favorite things to do is strollin’ through Golden Gate Park which is just across the street from our home.
An Outing with Dad

The jogging stroller I had with Henry I had bought from a garage sale in Salt Lake City for $20. It was grey- at least I thought it was grey until I washed it and turns out it was actually bright pink. You had to hold it very securely with your left hand because it was always veering to that side and it didn’t really fold at all. It was kind of a joke but I prided myself on being economical and sticking to that pink jogging stroller throughout his infancy! As soon as he outgrew it though, I happily gave it away.
With Edie, we were excited to buy a better quality one, convincing myself that it would make all the difference in getting back to shape after her birth. We did a lot of research, asked a lot of friends and made the decision to buy this Baby Jogger Summit X3. It’s super smooth and you can lock or unlock the wheels to swivel. The shade goes all the way down and it’s super comfy for Edie to relax in, she often falls asleep in it. The best part though it how easily it collapses so it can fit into our small storage space. You just pull a handle up so we can be holding her on our hip while you do it. Jared took Edie for a walk in Golden Gate park with the stroller last week and I tagged along to snap a few photos.
After walking through the rose garden from our house, past the deYoung museum and swing dancers, we stopped to explore the grounds at the Conservatory of Flowers.
Edie wanted to get out and walk around of course. She’s at the age where she has to be busy all day long, usually getting into adorable mischief.
She found a bike helmet to try on of course (she loves the bike!)
We stopped by our favorite hot dog stand in the park, Annie’s Hot Dogs, for a little snack.
Edie prefers the bun and Jared prefers the sausage so they’re a pretty good pair (and so between them both, you see, they licked the platter clean)
On the way home we heard an orchestra performing by the Grand Concourse so they stopped by to check it out. Edie mostly liked wandering through the aisles and looking for puppies. She is such a sucker for puppies!
It was such a fun shoot, I just love watching them interact. She is always asking for ‘dada’ and wants to tag along on whatever adventures he’s got up his sleeve. I feel so lucky to have such a supportive and hands-on parenting partner.

Awww! Edie is sooooo adorable! I love her hat and her outfit (can’t believe the dress and leggings are from Target… How nice! :^) and Jared’s subtle matchy-matchiness with Edie. What a sweet post.
Baby Jogger does seem to be the stroller of choice among my friends as well. And I didn’t know Target carried them. Thank you for this post! I’ll be sure to pass on the info to anyone who’s looking.
