Halloween Couples Costumes: Magician and Rabbit

magician and rabbit halloween costume

It’s that time of year again for couples costume ideas for Halloween! This is the third year we’ve put this series together and I get so excited about it. We had an incredible team this year working on these costumes and we’ll be featuring all four this week. Also I’m excited to announce that we’re also expanding the series this year to include a family costumes series as well (mom, dad, + baby). So get excited for those four ideas next week (you are going to DIE).

These costumes are not meant to be time consuming or labor intensive. They’re easy and last minute ideas to throw together because if you’re anything like me, I spend a lot of time thinking about costumes for my kids but very little on something for myself. So, here are some last minute ideas to get the creative juices flowing for costume ideas for yourself or with your partner. We also try to avoid anything too sexy or abstract. Just fun and classic couples, maybe a little nostalgic too!

A little review:
Couples Costumes 2013: Lumberjacks, Punk Rockers, Dirty Dancing, Camp Counselors
Couples Costumes 2012: Bandits, Mad Men, Mary Poppins + Bert, Bikers

First up, Magician and Rabbit.  An easy one to throw together last minute and be prepared to perform tricks for a crowd!

This year’s team was such a dream. Fantastic photography, as always, by the talented Ashley Thalman (based out of Utah). Spot on styling by our new stylist Sarah Larsen and her assistant Stephanie Larsen. Produced by Ashley Aikele with creative direction by Liz Stanley. And of course thanks to my sister, Katrina, and her husband Quinn of QP Collections for modeling.

Keep reading for more photos and instructions for the DIY rabbit ears!

Any one have more specific instructions on making those adorable bunny ears?!?

Step by step somewhere?

Agreed! Can you please share more about how to make these? The instructions are not super easy to follow.

this is so cute. love this series, look forward to it every year!

Ha! My husband and I totally did a version of this costume a few years ago. It was super easy to pull off and inexpensive. Plus, I love a man in a suit and I looked cute with my little white and pink ears:)
