Etsy in Your Campsite

Tis’ the season for campfires, lakeside shenanigans, wilderness hikes and all things outdoors! Hooray!  Both my parents are teachers so every summer as a child was spent on three month long camping extravaganzas. Basically if you asked me to describe childhood, camping would be the word for mine.
The lake pictured was (and still is) my favorite place to visit. Tenaya Lake, in the Yosemite Valley is formed by glacial activity, and the bottom of the lake is solid smooth granite! So much fun was had by slipping, sliding, and splashing in the lake. Not to mention the view!
If you make it out into the wilds this summer these etsy finds would certainly be useful…

How random is the world. We just booked a site for next summer in Yosemite and then I find your blog through a pinterest link….. anyway my husband and I have been dying to take our kids (ages 2, 4, and 5) back to the states to camp (we live in Manila, Philippines). Any advice for our trip next year? We have traveled quite a bit with them in Asia but are trips are always busy with lots on the agenda. Have to admit that a week in the woods with the kids seems a bit scary….will they be bored? do I neeed to bring toys? where will get our groceries for a week? 🙂 anyways any tips would be awesome!

Oh My goodness amber you are in for SO MUCH FUN! camping with kids is the best! just be prepared to go with the flow! The less plans you make the better. Take it as it comes and enjoy the adventure! Yosemite Valley has a really nice grocery store and a pretty awesome bus system! You should definitely take a day trip to the lake pictured it’s really shallow so it’s great for kids!
