Can you believe July 4th is just around the corner? The queen of summer holidays! These frozen yogurt dipped berries are the perfect celebratory food as they show off the very American red, white, and blue, are made with fresh summer produce, and are a cold refreshing treat. Best of all, you don’t have to turn on a hot oven or really cook anything at all to whip up a tray of these beauties. DSC_0277
Here’s how to do it…

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups whole milk Greek yogurt
2 tablespoons honey
2 dozen fresh strawberries
1 cup fresh blueberries

You’ll Need:
1 baking sheet
wax paper
1 wooden skewerDSC_0284

Steps:
In a small bowl, mix yogurt and honey together. Line the baking sheet with wax paper. When ready to dip, stick the skewer into the berry, dip and swirl in yogurt, then carefully place on wax paper. Continue with all the berries. For best consistency, freeze for 1 hour before eating but berries can be frozen longer then left out on the counter to soften slightly.

Oh wow, I have honestly never thought of dipping them in yoghurt before! I love chocolate but how much fun to experiment with other delicious creamy sweets!
