Eek! I’ve been so excited to share this with you!! Levi’s® featured me in a mini documentary promoting their Levi’s ® Curve ID system. It’s a feature about my life as a professional blogger, our family in San Francisco, and my experience trying out the Levi’s ® Curve ID system. I hope you like it. It was so much fun to be part of and such a crazy experience! A few people have said that they’ve seen the feature as an ad on HULU.  Holy Smokes!! Enjoy:

So. Let’s talk about jeans for a minute, friends.

What do you look for in a pair of jeans? Doing the feature really did make me more reflective in my jean selection process. Realizing mostly that I don’t give it nearly enough thought for something I wear everyday. I look for jeans that fit well, are flattering, comfortable, versatile, and of course affordable. Why are they so hard to find?! But, so crucial to my wardrobe that I can’t afford to go without a pair. I end up accumulating far too many pairs of jeans in the never-ending process of finding the perfect pair. Do you do that too or do you hold out for the perfect pair?

And where do I even being about the low rise trend! Curses! Luckily, it seems that things are moving away from that direction. Phew. Levi’s®, for example, has three different curves which I found really useful when finding the right match for my shape. But low rise jeans are still the majority of my wardrobe and if if I had a penny for each time I was spotted pulling up the back to avoid revealing my behind to the world…It drives me nuts. What do you look for in a pair of jeans? What challenges you you typically face finding the right pair for your body?

PS Here are the modern demi curve skinny Levi’s® jeans I was wearing in the feature

Also.. stay tuned tomorrow for a few behind the scenes photos from the Levi’s shoot!

this video is amazing! good job- you’re such a natural in front of the camera. levi’s are my fav.

Love it, you looked so beautiful, I especially love the shots in the dressing room, pretty pretty!

ok, i had a tear in my eye at the end! you are too cute! and i need these jeans. you sold me!

After I saw your video (so cute!) I went to the Levi’s website to check them out. They have so much stretch and polyester in them – do you find the knees and butt getting stretched out every day? Do you have to wash them often?

Your booty is totally levi-licious in these jeans! I can’t wait to see the commercial on Hulu.
And Henry is the cutest.

I rarely comment, but couldn’t help myself today : ) You did an awesome job and look SO cute in those jeans!!! You seem so natural in front of the camera. Congrats! That is such a fun thing to have done.

Liz, seriously this is an awesome video. You are totally a natural on screen and look so adorable with your family. I love that the video is so real too. Doesn’t feel like an ad. Love the shots of you doing crafts with Henry. I definitely don’t look that cute wearing my mom blogger hat.

My goodness! They picked the right person for this. Makes me want to run out and buy some of these jeans myself! Seriously cute.

This is so great!! Levi’s did a really great job allowing you to come off as you/real. Congrats!! Henry looks adorable, too.

I loved this video! They did a really awesome job of showcasing what you do as well as the jeans. Also very inspiring to see someone who really loves what they do!

Awesome. I work at the Levi’s HQ in SF and follow your blog. Imagine my delight when I came across this post. So glad they have tapped into your blog and some others to promote a great product. Hope you had fun shooting, looks like you did some filming in the lobby store:-)

I love this darling little video. You are just SO cute (I can see more similarities to Spencer on a video than when I just see pictures of you). And good heavens, your apartment is gorgeous.

What a great video- I usally only watch a snippet, but I watched this video from start to finish. I loved seeing your family, and the “day in the life of…” approach to the shoot was great.

Oh, and I’m totally jealous that you look like that in jeans after having a kid. I’m “kidless” and still can’t pull off the skinny jeans that well!

Also, I’m signed up for your ALT class tomorrow night. Can’t wait:)

liz, i have loved your blog since i started blogging two years ago. and this video was awesome- to see you and hear your voice makes a difference. i would love to see a “home tour” post of your stylish home. future project maybe??!?

Liz Stanley you are so dang cute in this video….and pretty hotsy totsy too, with your bad skinny jean wearin’ self! This is terrific. So cool and sweet and makes me want to run out and get some Levi’s too.

Well done!
xo

This is wonderful! I love the way you talk about how your role change throughout the day but that your jeans make the transition totally seamless. I’m totally going to check out Curve ID now!

I saw this on Hulu yesterday! For being an ad for jeans it’s very inspiring to do what you love and do it well. Nice job!

Liz! This is fantastic! You did such a great job. You’re a total natural in front of the camera, not to mention you look fantastic! Seriously…this was awesome. Yay!

Everyone here at FM is super psyched about this campaign! You look gorgeous as usual!!

Cat

I love Levi’s Curve ID, I wear them almost exclusively. So comfy! You (and your family) looked so great Liz! I’m so happy for your success!

I loved it Liz. It was gorgeous. YOU are gorgeous. And not to mention, the most genuine person I’ve ever encountered with such success.

…this made me want a pair of Levi’s NOW! 🙂

x!

Eek! You are SO adorable! And forget jeans for a moment, your family is just the cutest family in the world. I loved seeing Henry run around the house.

Ok, back to jeans, I think this was a good ad on Levi’s part. I’ll probably check out their curve ID thing now in the quest to find that ever-perfect pair of jeans.

Also – this made me think that you occasionally need to do a vlog! Like, once a month or something.

Well, it certainly is a compliment to the production company because I was anything but comfortable in front of that camera! I was sweating bullets the whole day!

Hey Liz –

Scott here. Not true. You guys were awesome to work with. The film is an accurate portrayal of how generous and fun you, jared and henry were to work with. Glad you like the video. phew!

Love the denim shirt you have on in the fitting room….is that Levis as well? You and your family are adorable!

love it! i wonder if i could find some through them that fit my (nonexistent) booty. having a kid changes everything 😉 so cute! and it’s so fun to know you’re Erica’s sister in law too, she’s hilarious!

What a cool cameo. I just recently moved to San Francisco with my little family from the east coast, so it was so fun to see the city (and you and your family) in action.

In terms of jeans and having way too many but none that really fit, I can totally relate. Especially after having two kids I feel like my body is still changing. Plus, wearing the jeans through as much of pregnancy as I could (and probably a bit longer than I should have…) they are all pretty stretched from the wear…. I also think with a lot of them I’m more stuck on the memory of how they used to fit; now after the journey they’ve been on they kind of sag in all the wrong places.

But, with kids in tow, the thought of going into a place and having the time and patience to try on a bunch of jeans sounds a bit daunting…..
You make Levis seem like a good option, though. Maybe you could just have them put a babysitting service in the dressing room (wouldn’t that be nice?!?!) 🙂

Honestly I think it’s a win-win. Momma’s get to feel hip and stylish (which is a feat in itself!) and levi’s sales improve 🙂

Also, I was just recently introduced to your blog. I love it! Smart and savvy with so many pretty things to look at. I was just looking at an old post which featured your three sisters. This made me like your blog even more…I’m one of four sisters as well. Sisters rock!

Liz! This is the cutest! Honestly. I love getting a little peek into your life.

Woman, you are ridiculously cute! Loved the whole thing. And you rock those jeans.

With jeans I just tend to buy ones that fit well. I get the waist gap due to my curvy rear end, so if they fit well and are comfy, I buy them!

What an awesome feature! I loved getting to see you in a more ‘real’ way… so inspiring!

And now I’ll be checking into some Levi’s, because I am still on the hunt for the perfect jeans 🙂

That is too cool! It’s really a great convincing sort of ad too- I’ll actually check out levis now. Hips and thighs are usually too roomy for me if the waist fits 🙁

I loved seeing this documentary! I actually got Levi’s a year or so ago because I have the hardest time finding jeans that fit. They are always tight in the legs and huge in the waist. With their curve fits, I can finally get one that fits in both. And since I don’t wear jeans that often, I splurged on that one well-fitting pair. Totally worth it.
