Photoshop Elements 11 Giveaway!-CLOSED

As many of you know, I’ve teamed up with Adobe Photoshop Elements as an ambassador over the last few months. It’s been a really fun experience to learn about the program from the very best and I hope you’ve liked learning about it as well!

Today I’m hosting a giveaway for three readers to win copies of the brand new Photoshop Elements 11 which isn’t even out yet! I’ve had a chance to test it out and really love the changes they’ve made and the new features they’ve added. I think you’ll love it to. Below are the giveaway details:

You can leave an additional comment by: liking Say Yes to Hoboken’s facebook page, or pinning an image from my site to Pinterest (or both! for two additional comments). Just let me know in the additional comments which you did. The giveaway is open through Wednesday night, October 3rd  at 10pm PST. The winner will be announced on this post the next day.

Keep reading to see how I used the new vignette feature in Elements 11…

Open your image in Elements and click on the Guided tab at the top (don’t you love the new gray screen?). Then select vignette effect from the list on the right hand side.

Follow the instructions on the right, click on the ‘black’ button and your image will be pretty dark around the edges.  You can move the intensity over to the left a bit to lessen the effect.

Click on Redefine Shape and move the feather up all the way so the edges aren’t so harsh. When you’re happy with the result, click done!

You can see the difference above when you look at the before and after view. I like vignettes for portraits and darker rooms.

I too like the vignette feature in editing “softwares”. However, this vignette appears out of place in this image as it passes through the brighest portion of the image on the wall and window. A better image may have illustrationed your post better.

I have used Photoshop Elements since it came out. I am up to Elementsl 10. I just downloaded the trial of Elements 11. I created a recipe that i use to process all my photos. So far i am liking Elements 11.
