Lemon Sorbet

I’ve been doing this new diet/exercise program (that I’ll probably get sick of in like 2 more seconds) which allows me only to have sorbet and fruit bars for dessert so I’ve been trying out some new sorbet recipes. This one is super refreshing especially on a hot summer day and tastes great with some fresh berries. Plus it’s as easy as making lemonade and pouring it into a ice cream maker.

Lemon Sorbet

Boil 2 cups sugar with 2 cups water to make a simple syrup. Let cool.
Add 1 1/2 cups of fresh squeezed lemon juice and 1 T of lemon zest
Cool mixture completely in fridge
Pour into ice cream maker and let churn for about 30 minutes
Freeze for another 4-6 hours
