I tried out Este pizza this past weekend in Sugarhouse in Salt Lake. It claims to be true New York pizza, and it lived up to it’s name. It’s more ‘pizza on the corner’ type of New York pizza, which is the kind I like best anyway. I also like how they only serve traditional toppings, there’s a sign that says if you want pineapple on yours, it’ll cost you. $99 cost you.

Hi Liz, I’ve been lurking for a while now. I think I found your blog through Gabby or Erin. I live in NY and go to your parents’ ward, but we are moving to SLC. I have loved it here and I’m sad to go, but I love reading about all the cool SLC places you are finding! Gives me something to look forward to. I like the sign in Este that reads ‘No ranch No pineapple No red sox attire’. Very funny.
Our fav pizza is Big Apple Pizza on 33rd south. So far it can’t compete with any other Utah version of “NY style”, so I will definitely have to try this as well… Lunch anyone?
