Homegrown

Just went summer starts to lose its strength in late August, tomatoes hit their peak. I thought we wouldn’t have any (I killed most things I planted in my first attempt at a garden this year), but we have quite a few coming in from two decent plants in the front.
On the menu this week:
Tomato and avocado sandwiches with lots of salt and pepper, BLTs, romaine salad with fresh cucumber, tomato and homemade buttermilk ranch dressing, fresh tomato marinara pasta sauce

(and requiring no trips to the grocery store).
