Sarah, Ashley and I took on a fun challenge. We picked one Home Depot modern bedroom chair from their new decor line (yup, they now sell furniture!) and styled it three different ways in each of our homes. Here are some photos of how it turned out…

Excited to spread this happy news: when you’re picking out new paint, hardware, tools, and plants for your bedroom at Home Depot, you can now also buy really great looking, modern furniture! Yup! Home Depot has a brand new decor line and we’ve been loving the selection so far (although most is sold online now). We’ve loved working with them this year on a few home decorating projects to spread the word about this new line. Did you see the inspiration post for our home studio? Today, we’re sharing how we styled this one modern bedroom chair three ways. We picked the Baxton Studio red upholstered accent chair because it looked cozy but also modern. Sarah, Ashley and I each styled it three ways in our homes with some other Home Depot decor pieces we picked out.

First up was Ashley’s bedroom…

It could have been the hot, dry weather where she lives, but we were really feeling the desert vibe in Ashley’s home in Concord (about 20 miles east of San Francisco but feels like a totally different climate!). Along with the red accent chair, we also threw on this great New Zealand sheepskin rug (amazingly soft!), a nice soft hyacinth straw basket for her cactus, another super soft Australian wool throw in grey, and some plants/pots all from Home Depot.

Perfect spot to sit and read when the little ones are tucked in bed for their midday naps.

Next up is our home in the Oakland Hills…

With Dot moving along the floor so much these days, I threw the soft Australian wool throw on the ground beneath the red chair. We also added this great Kenroy clear glass table lamp. Love the transparency, it doesn’t make the spot look too busy.  Under the table lamp is a great modern little HomeSullivan midnight accent table with wooden detail on the legs. The other side has a great shelf to put a book or magazine. All from the Home Depot decor line.

We also put a plant in the big straw basket (I’m a big fan of plants in baskets instead of just a pot these days!)

Lastly, Sarah’s San Francisco Victorian…

Sarah’s renovated Victorian has so many beautiful details in it, we really liked how the clean, modern pieces looked in there. In addition to the red chair, we added this gorgeous Kenroy Wood Grain modern floor lamp. Isn’t it beautiful?

We threw the sheepskin rug on the floor for River, her sweet pup, the Australian wool throw went on the chair for a cozy place to have her morning coffee.

The gave the big straw basket a break from holding all those plants at Ashley and my home, and used it for her books, magazines and leather tote.
