Well, hello! And Happy New Year! It’s good to be back into the swing of things again. The beginning of January always feels so bizarre like I’m not sure how exactly to start over post-holiday. But like many of you, I’m feeling anxious to get back into some healthy eating after the truck load of sweets accompanying the holidays. So today, I thought I’d ask my friends Karen and Suji of Reset Meals (a bay area juice cleanse I highly recommend) to share the recipe for their delicious green drink they make. It’s stock full of veggies and really easy to throw together in the morning before work.
Keep reading to get the recipe…
Fill up your blender with about 3 cups of water.
Add a large bowl of fresh spinach and kale. Add a large handful of mint and parsley.
Add a full cut pear and 1/2 a banana.
Next, add about a tablespoon each of pickled ginger, flax, chia seeds, and about half a Persian cucumber.
Finish with about a cup of ice and blend until smooth. You can spoon off the froth if you’d like.
Enjoy! Cheers to a healthy start to 2016!
My 1 yr. old son is a fiend for green smoothies. I can’t wait to make this for him!
