We picked up all these festive pieces from Pier 1. They always have such a great collection of holiday items that are festive and versatile. You can use most of them items directly on your Christmas tree and then for New Years take them off and add them to your party table.  For our New Years table we used: the silver and gold wire spheres and beaded snowflake ornament. Both are are perfect for decorating the table, hang on the tree, or even from the ceiling (see the first image). We also used some pretty glitter candles which are so festive, metallic gold ribbon, and a gold stem of balls (also for table or tree!). The tall champagne flutes and silver party crackers are perfect for ringing in the New Year at midnight. I love how fancy the flutes are! I thought adding some artificial snow would be a pretty touch combined with the coconut snow dessert (recipe below!).

Coconut Snow:

Pout a can of coconut milk (14 0z) into a freezer safe dish. Add simple syrup (1/4 cup water with 1/4 cup sugar melted in the microwave until dissolved).

Every 30 minutes pull the coconut milk out of the freezer and scrape with a fork to create a fluffy snow-like texture. You’ll repeat this for about 2- 2 1/2 hours until the milk becomes all fluffy snow. It’s delicious! We served ours with a sprinkle of pomegranates and a pretty holly or mint leaf for garnish.
