Giant Family Heart Activity Report

Last week I posted about the Valentine’s Day giant heart family activity we set up with Post-it Brand and their gorgeous Post-it Brand World of Color collections, and today I wanted to give you a little update on how the activity went. If you remember, the idea was to encourage family members to show love and kindness to each other and perform little secret acts of service to fill up the Post-it® Notes heart for a big family reward. I used Post-it® Notes from the Cape Town collection to create a Valentine’s Day heart made of vibrant and beautiful colors. The Post-it Brand World of Color collections also feature eye-catching hues inspired by the cities of Bora Bora, Marrakesh, Rio de Janeiro, Jaipur, New York, Bali, Helsinki, and Marseille!

When I first told Henry about the activity and Post-it® Notes he was really excited and immediately started searching the home for things he could do for someone else in the family. After getting started though, one thing seemed a bit silly to us…

…was for Jared and I to list all the things we did for our family( I mean, I could fill up that heart in a second starting with “I GAVE YOU LIFE”) so we tried to make them more above the ordinary and thoughtful. Like, “I organized your Lego books so you could find them easier”. Or, “I found the book you were looking for last night! Put it in your backpack”. Henry loved secretly writing a Post-it® Note and loooooved finding ones for him.

One part I didn’t expect was how fun the searching for the Post-it® Note was. Once you saw a spot open in the heart, it was a race to see who could find the note and where it might be waiting.

Our heart still isn’t full yet but it’s only been a week. I might make it a smaller heart or a smaller reward next time. Either way, it was a success. I think we might make this a new Valentine’s Day tradition.

Good answer back in return of this difficulty with solid arguments
and describing everything on the topic of that.

Any chance you can tell me the name of the artist/website where you bought the fruit print?!?! I love it and think it would be the perfect addition to my new apt! Thank you a million!

FYI, my FAVORITE Post-It product is their Post-it restickable-glue stick. It’s their Post-it glue in a stick, and you use it to turn any piece of paper into a Post-It note.

Great for teaching; you stick up a picture and take it back down without tape or magnets or whatever. Also great for sticking a neighborhood party invite on everyone’s front door.

Love this idea. A version of it would work anytime for teaching children.
