It’s been so fun to experience all the milestones of my baby’s first year right along with Liz’s baby, Edie! We’ve done posts on baby food and bath time, diapers and carriers (and everything in between!). BUT now we have finally arrived at the fun stuff, toys! In putting this together I consulted with Liz’s friend, Michelle to see what her top toy picks were. Michelle has four kids and knows the ins and outs of the best toys for kids. So between the three of us we’ve created this gift guide of the 20 best toys to give a one year old. We found that the best toys are simple hand memory activities like stacking or sorting, bright colors, musical instruments, anything with wheels, push or pull toys, board books, and fun bath toys.

It’s been a few years since my son was this age, so it’s good to know what’s out there for friends and family!

I have a 1 1/2 yr old cousin who I had no idea what to get him because well he is a baby and he is open to almost anything at this point. I really like the scoot around bike and the plastic egg shakers. The baby piano is super cute but I am pretty sure his mom would kill me for getting a gift that makes even more noise then the baby.
Thanks for sharing!
